The Topic, Creative Leadership

The challenges facing organisations in the 21st Century require new approaches to leadership and management. Complexity, ‘wicked problems’ and uncertainty highlight the need for imagination, flexibility, courage and the ability to adapt and work creatively with change. It necessitates a willingness and desire to cultivate those capabilities in others.

21st Century leadership calls for creative thinking, presence and positive action. The Creative Leadership session includes theories, concepts and experiential learning that enable participants to take a deep dive into the heart and soul of what it means to be a creative leader.

Our Speaker, Dr Cathryn Lloyd

Cathryn Lloyd is the Founder/Director of Maverick Minds, a creative consultancy that designs meaningful learning experiences for leaders, managers, teams and professional individuals to realise their creative confidence.

She has over 20 years of experience across the creative industries and am Australia’s first certified creativity coach with the Creativity Coaching Association.

Cathryn bring a multi-disciplinary and creative approach to clients from all sectors including corporate, public, not-for-profit and individuals.

Cathryn’s workshops and coaching programs focus on experiential, creative and action learning processes. This approach enables clients to gain new perspectives, clarity and the confidence to take action.

TEC members are high-integrity business leaders from a diverse range of industries who meet monthly to support each other and address the challenges of leading in these increasingly uncertain times.

The speaker session is the first part of a monthly all-day meeting and is attended by between 14 and 16 people. During the afternoon, the TEC members continue with their Executive Session. Our speakers are subject experts focused on stimulating active discussion with the group.
