You are invited to join members of the Executive Connection for our next speaker session, led by speaker Simon Waller on “Using Technology to Gear Up for Growth”
Using Technology to Gear Up for Growth
We are told ‘growth is good’ but anyone who has worked in or managed a growing business also knows it’s not always easy. ‘Scaling up’ is meant to make things cheaper and easier, but as an organisation grows and starts employing more people challenges start to emerge:
it becomes harder to coordinate work between people
it becomes harder to communicate and keep everyone informed
work starts getting duplicated because of poor communication
response times increase and customer service suffers
These all lead to decreasing productivity, more mistakes, overworked employees and growing frustration for business owners. But by digitising these activities leaders open up the ability to improve, streamline and automate them. This not only has the potential to reduce bottlenecks, increase productivity and improve quality, it also frees up the capacity which can enable future growth.
In this workshop Simon shares his framework for identifying and implementing digital improvement projects. He will take your members through a process mapping exercise to help identify where the bottlenecks are in their businesses and how to create a demand for change. He will also share the three skill sets every business needs to drive digital innovation projects and how they can develop them in house rather than constantly rely on expensive consultants.
Workshop Content
Find out why most of the challenges of growth have almost nothing to do with production and everything to do with people
Understand how Value Stream Mapping can not only identify improvement opportunities but also create an internal demand for change
Identify technology improvement opportunities that can be immediately taken away and implemented (it is expected that everyone leaves the session with at least one $50,000 opportunity to pursue)
Find out who should be driving these projects internally, what you should expect from them and how you can best support them
