THE TOPIC, The Economic Landscape following the shock of COVID-19

What will 2021 bring? If not more bad news, how will the economy recover? What are the indicators that help us make sense of the opportunities and risks for our business?

Principal workshop themes:

  • Things to watch out for

  • U shaped, W shaped or L shaped?

  • What the budget tells us and what it doesn’t

  • Key dependencies including government stimuli in Australia and Globally

  • The influence of China

What previous TEC workshop attendees have said:

  • Exceptional speaker. His dry but very informative session was delivered in an 'easy to understand' format without the usual economist jargon.

  • Beware the false confidence in exiting Covid-19. Underlying state of the economy not known until mid 2021.

  • Look past current buoyant times. Focus on looking for process improvement to deal with reduced demand and increased cost pressures.
