You are invited to join members of the Executive Connection for our next speaker session, led by Jonathan Mamaril on “Managing the Unmanageable”
Managing the Unmanageable
People are your greatest asset in business, but when not managed correctly they can also be your greatest liability. Misconduct, underperformance and incorrectly handled terminations can land your business in a lot of hot water that can end up burning your staff, reputation and clients.
In this interactive presentation, Jonathan will address one of the top three frustrations shared by business owners of all shapes and sizes – managing unmanageable staff – using case studies, group activities based on real cases and practical information that can protect a business from common employment law traps.
Key Learnings
In this eye-opening workshop members will learn:
How to effectively manage underperforming employees
The right way to terminate employees for misconduct and underperformance
What you must keep in mind when dealing with employees who have illness or injuries
The minefield of general protections and why general protections claims are on the rise
The steps managers and directors can take to mitigate vicarious liability and their personal liability
Outcomes:
Throughout the workshop, real scenarios and cases will be used to provide examples of the right and wrong way to manage misconduct and underperformance. Resources including articles and a checklist on general protections will be provided to help mitigate the risks of a general protections claim.
